Baptism, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation together constitute the sacraments of initiation.
The reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace, for it brings us the special strength of the Holy Spirit to profess our faith with the Church and to witness to others outside the Church.
Here at Rosary Church, the CCIP prepares our English speaking children for Confirmation in a program running from September to May/June.
Registration for the Confirmation Program takes place on the last two Saturdays of August (dates, time and venue to be posted up on the Church bulletin board and announced at Sunday masses from the beginning of August).
N.B. Parents are requested to accompany the child for registration, bringing along :
- Child‘s Baptismal Certificate (original + 1 copy)
- *Godparent’s Baptismal and Confirmation Certificate (1 copy)
*Godparent must be a baptized Catholic at least sixteen years of age who has received the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist (proof of Confirmation is required). Parents may not serve as Godparents.
