120th Parish Establishment Anniversary Drawing Competition

Purpose

To celebrate the upcoming 120th Anniversary of the parish establishment in 2025, we are hosting a Drawing Competition allowing us to express our gratitude and sense of belonging towards our home parish. Both parishioners and non-parishioners are welcome to participate.

Theme

To express evangelization, caring and the feeling towards Rosary Church

Qualification

  • Family Category
    • This category encourages parents and children to collaborate and create a drawing together, symbolizing the unity and love within families.
  • Individual Category
    • Participants can showcase their individual artistic skills and interpretations of the theme.

Prizes

  • Winner, 1st Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up and merit awards will be selected in each category
  • Winner: Award Certificate + Catholic Centre Gift Card of HK$1,000
  • 1st Runner Up: Award Certificate + Catholic Centre Gift Card of HK$500
  • 2nd Runner Up: Award Certificate + Catholic Centre Gift Card of HK$300
  • The awards will be presented during the 2023 annual parish gathering
  • Awarded entries might be selected to be printed on souvenirs for the 120th Parish Establishment Anniversary
  • Merit entries may be exhibited at the parish hall
  • All participants shall receive an electronic certificate of appreciation
  • Awarded entry will be notified by email

Specifications

All entries shall include a title with less than 15 words and a short description of no more than 100 words

Medium• Dry or wet paints only, including oil paint, colour pencils, crayons, pastels, sketch pencils, water colours, poster colours and acrylics paints, etc.
• Cut and paste or use of non-pigment materials are not allowed.
• Entries must be in 2-dimensional format, both portrait or landscape are allowed.
SizeNot less than 30cm x 21cm and not larger than 70cm x 55cm

Rules

  • All entries must be original work and have not been published or participated in similar activities/competition and no infringe of any 3rd party rights (including but not limited to copyright, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, etc.). Plagiarised work will be disqualified.
  • Each participant is limited to submit one entry. Participants who submit more than one entry will be disqualified. All entries, whether shortlisted or not will not be returned.
  • Entrants shall bear all responsibilities if the content and/or the opinions or messages expressed therein violate the laws. The organiser will not be liable for any legal issue associated from the entries.
  • The results shall be subject to the final decision of the selection committee. The organiser reserves the right to revise rules and no appeal is allowed.
  • The copyright and intellectual property rights of the all entries will be owned by the organiser. The organiser has the right to modify, copy and publish the entries for promotion purposes.
  • Entrants must acknowledge and agree to be bounded by the rules of the competition before submitting their works.

Submission Method

Please fill in the entry form and attach it onto the back of the drawing paper. Seal it in an envelope and return it to the Parish Office or hand it to Fr. Mario or Fr. Meng after Sunday mass.
